What if candidate forget document submission?

If your documents are not uploaded until 4 days before the exam date, your exam will be automatically cancelled. You won’t be eligible for any transfers or refunds.

What if a Candidate forgets to bring his/her approved id on the the day of the exam?

Accepted Answer

If a candidate fails to bring their approved ID on the exam day, it poses an issue. An approved ID, limited to an Original Passport or PR Card, is a mandatory requirement for test day and must be presented to the Test Day Staff upon arrival at the venue. Forgetting to carry the original approved ID on the exam day will result in denied entry. No exceptions will be made, and requests for refunds or transfers will not be considered under such circumstances.

Transfer Rules and Limitations

More than 14 Days (excluding the test day) before the test:-Transfer Period: You can request a transfer within 3 months from your initial testdate.- Selecting a New Test Date: If you wish to reschedule, please choose a new testdate within the next three months from your original test date. Selecting a datebeyond this timeframe will be considered a cancellation.- Transfer Limit: Test Takers are eligible up to 5 transfers for a single registration.- Transfer Fee: No fees apply when you request a transfer 15 days or more before your test date.- Registration Fee: Once the IELTS exam is successfully transferred, theregistration fee is non-refundable. To initiate the transfer process, please contactus via email.​​Between 5 Days to 14 Days before the test:- Transfer request received between 5 days and 14 days prior to the test dates aresubjected to 25% test fee.- Any transfer request submitted before 5 days prior to the original test date will be declined.Exceptional situations—such as a domestic crisis, unavoidable legal or militaryobligations, medical conditions, or extreme weather—test takers may still beeligible for a test date transfer. To be considered, supporting documentation mustbe submitted within 48 hours of the request and no later than 24 hours after thescheduled test date. If the request is approved by the test centre, a 50% transferfee will apply.

Test Report Form (TRF) Collection Information (Paper Based - IELTS)

TRF Pick-Up Period:
After the release of test results, hard copies of the Test Report Forms (TRFs) will be available for pick-up for a 60-day period starting from the test day.
Pick-Up Location and Timings:
You can collect your TRFs at the following location between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, for the respective exams. Please ensure to bring your passport or any other Canadian issued ID for verification.

Important Notes:
All TRFs will be securely destroyed after the 60-day pick-up period.
If you prefer, you can opt for Express Post delivery or designate someone to collect on your behalf. If someone else is collecting your TRF, please submit a Third-Party Pickup Request in advance.

If you’d like the test center to mail your TRF to you, please contact us at info@myetccentral.ca. Please be aware that fees may apply for this service.

Test Report Form (TRF) Collection Information (Computer Based - IELTS)

For computer-based IELTS tests, Test Report Forms (TRFs) are conveniently accessible on the test takers portal. You can easily download and utilize them for your intended purposes directly from the portal. Please note that no physical copies of the TRFs are available for collection.

Refugee Registration Process for IELTS Exam

If you are a refugee, the initial step involves submitting a document to the test center for approval before proceeding with registration. Once the document is approved, you can then register for the IELTS exam. On the Test Day, it is mandatory to carry your “Refugee Protection Claimant Document” along with any other form of government-issued photo ID.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

You have the flexibility to cancel your IELTS test registration at any time before the scheduled test date
by notifying your Test Centre. Refund terms are contingent on the timing of your cancellation and
whether exceptional circumstances apply.Cancellation Timelines:More than 14 Days Before the Test (excluding the test day): If you cancel your IELTS test registration more than 14 days before the test (excluding the test day), you will be eligible for a 75% refund of the total test fee.Within 14 Days before the Test (excluding the test day): Cancellations made within 14 days before the test (excluding the test day) the test fees are non-refundable.SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES:The following are considered special circumstances for test-day transfers or refunds: Serious Illness (hospital admission or serious injury), supported by a medical note from a registered Medical Doctor.Loss or Bereavement (the death of a close family member), substantiated by a death certificate to cancel the exam.Military Service (enlistment), verified by a letter from the government.Transfer fees are $75, and refunds may take 2–3 weeks for processing. For all transfer or cancellation requests, please complete the following forms and email them to info@myetccentral.ca Request for Refund or Test Day Transfer Form (pdf)Special Circumstance requests require appropriate documentation or evidence, including but not limited to a medical certificate from a registered medical doctor, a death notice or certificate, a police report, or a government letter. Can any person collect my Test Report on my behalf?

If you wish to authorize someone else to collect your Test Report on your behalf, kindly complete our Third-Party Pick-Up Form. Once your request is submitted and approved, the authorized person will be permitted to collect the test report. It is crucial that the designated collector brings a photocopy of your ID for verification.

IELTS Test Schedule and Format

The IELTS test begins between 9:00 and 9:30 and typically lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes, encompassing the Listening, Reading, and Writing components. The Speaking component is scheduled separately, either on the same day or an adjoining day. The test format is as follows:

Writing: 60 minutes

Test takers are allowed to bring water in a transparent bottle. However, no other materials are permitted inside the test hall.
Prohibited items include watches, phones, smartphones, headphones, papers, mechanical pencils, erasers with wrappers, and jewelry. 
Adherence to these guidelines ensures a fair and secure testing environment for all participants.
